Much has to do with the amount of blood flow required to the pelvic region (for both men & women) during arousal; furthermore, when aroused and "busy" your blood vessels constrict and upon relaxation (after orgasm) they dilate (vasoconstriction & vasodilation). Additionally, many natural chemicals are released during sex which cause changes in the body. Proper hydration is essential.
