He can't arouse me anymore - whats happening?

ok most people know, i've been with my boyfriend over a year now. and i'm new on bcp's.
the thing is, i know i still have the same feelings for my boyfriend, very strong feelings for him, but it's been harder for him to get me aroused latley, it never used to take much at all for him to get me aroused but nothings happening much anymore. he hasn't changed physically and i'm still just as attracted as i was with him when i first met him, could this be because of my pill?

i could be, give it a week or two things might get back to the way they used to be.

id say it most likely is. i started taking birth control about 4 years ago, and ever since then i've never ever gotten turned on/wet from anything.

oh thankyou eminatic thats a releif accept i want to get aroused, i dont want to end up having sex dry, costs too much in lube hehe no joke. it just doesnt seem right if i'm not aroused.

First, stop thinking in terms of "he arousing you." You are responsible for your own body and getting yourself aroused. He is only a helper.

Now, to your question. Many women do find a reduction in libido when getting on the pill. Sometimes this works itself out in a month or two and sometimes the pill has to be switched. If concerned, talk to your prescriber.

Also change your mind set. I'm backing up Brandye here - your orgasms arousal etc is your responsibility not your partner's - he's there to help. Have you done body worship? Have you taken charge of the proceedings?
Have you given yourself permission to have sex? Have you accepted the need to be on the bcp?

Sex begins in the brain. Comtemplating his manifold charms should begin the process nicely. If you have to, think "This man will please you." then do it.

Are you anxious about being on the pill, afraid that something might go wrong with it?

Was your decision to start taking it in any way forced?

oh no no, i was never force to go on the pill, it may be because i'm not quite sure of a few things and forgot to ask my doctor. things like, if i am the unlucky one to get pregnant on the pill do my piriods stop as usual? because i know there not real piriods so i wondered if i would bleed anyway, also i'm unsure of how to get repeat perscriptions and stuff, and if after i turn 16 i'd have to start paying for it. i'm scared to ask my parents things like that (because me and my mum havent really got a good relationship takling wise) if anyone has any answers to this it would be greatly appereciated. oh by the way i live in england so the perscription stuff may be different to anywhere else, although i dint really know for sure. anyway thanks in advance.

can anyone help me with the above worries?

Regarding BCP's are they not prescribed by a local clinic? And at no cost part of your NHS? How about the Nuvaring? I do know they can be ordered on-line if you have a regular pill & dose and are being followed by a MD. Just go to your doc, tell mom you are having heavy periods which are erratic and you feel you need to get a check up b/c your friends do not have the same pain and bleeding which you get....exaggerate some of the pain (complain) to your mom so she will be happy to send you off to get a check up.

It is EXTREMELY rare to become pregnant while on the Pill because the Pill makes your body think it is ALREADY PREGNANT. That is how the Pill works. It induces a false pregnancy; in very basic terms.

More than most likely - you're growing up faster than he is and you're losing interest in him. It happens. Only you can make that decision. It just may be time to move on.
