It's not what we think or what we would do...it's what you want and what you think about the idea. Read the threads on this site about the advantages and disadvantages of threesomes.
I agree, its really completely up to you..but if you want to hear my opinion then I don't mind sharing.
Personally, I think that sharing intimacy with someone else besides your lover, can lead to many problems within the relationship. As much as the "fantasy" world of it can sound intriguing, I just don't think its the best idea. Theirs so many what-if's about it...I wouldn't go there myself...
but once again, its ultimately up to you.

We had this experience many years ago with a guy who was one of *both* of our closest friends, and it was my gal who initiated and controlled the unfolding of everything. I really enjoyed watching them together, and it had no long-range consequences on any of our friendships, because we were already extremely intimate as friends.
Threesomes need to *always* be about the woman, her needs, safety, desire, and comfort. If any of this is lacking, my advice is to wait until all the pieces feel right for you. I guess the big question is how close you are to the friend? Would you want to be with him as a friend with benefits under other circumstances, or is the whole thing being animated by bf's fantasies?
A real red flag is if the two of them have discussed it before bf asked you. At that point, you are an object being exchanged between them.

Hmmmm..... How did this come about? From past experience no guy I know in a serious relationship has ever let a buddy do his girl.Ask him how this conversation came about and see what he says. If he says it's been a fantasy of his then maybe consider it, any other answer then I would think twice. This set off a red flag with me.

I agree with Beans. Normally, man fantasies would request FMF, not MFM. There's something wrong here. IMHO, serious relationships suffer with 3soms but that's just my opinion. If you're just dating this guy and it's more of a physical thing, hey, go girl :) :D
