Maybe it's your individual bio-rythym? Personally, I was never in the mood for sex upon awakening, or even in the morning hours. I've never been a "morning person" -- for anything, including work;) . My favorite time for sex is the afternoon--when it never seemed to be convenient (unless away on vacation). If I have to be up and active early then I feel like I need a nap in the afternoon. If I can sleep late in the morning then I'll be a night owl. Maybe your body just isn't in the mood first thing on waking.
