I've had a little lump at the top of my leg for ages probably up to a year now, and it's never really bothered me, not been painful and it hasn't been too big. It's round and hardish. A couple of days ago it suddenly got really big for no apparent reason and it really hurts to touch, or when i sit down. I was just wondering if this was anything to worry about?

Many people have "lumps" on their arms or on their legs and they are benign. If there is any change in the lump/mass, an increase in size, change in color, discharge, or pain you have to see the doctor.
ok, thanks. i went to the doc today they gave me some antibiotics for a week. hopefully that'll do it :>
If the mass/lump/cyst becomes bothersome many opt to have it removed, especially if the redness/pain reoccur. The result is a scar and they can reoccur. One of my g/f's had them on her arms and legs, she opted to have them removed because they were annoying and unsightly. What I noticed, the faint scars left behind made her look as if she was in a cat fight!
