Groin problem

I’ve been having some pain in my groin and I would like some feedback so I can confirm what it is.

Whenever my girlfriend and I are intimate I get very aroused (erection and everything). I have noticed that after some of these occasions I get a horrible feeling in my groin, like the residual pain you get after having been kicked in the gonads. It lasts a while, sometimes even an hour. I should also mention that in all occasions of intimacy I haven’t orgasmed/ejaculated (not a problem in itself). While I can still function (walk/run) I find the pain to be very…well uncomfortable. I think it may be “blue balls” but I am not sure.

There are something’s that I do find peculiar about this (that causes me to think that it isn’t “blue balls”), for instance, the pain often only begins many minutes after my penis has gone flaccid, the blood that built up in my groin has already drained. I know that after orgasm the penis (often) goes flaccid and that would take care of “blue balls”, but I don’t see how it is different from my penis going flaccid without it. Also, over many years of having erections that go away on their own, or when masturbating and there being many times where I was super aroused and had to stop prematurely, I never got the pain I am feeling now.

In many of these pain incidences, my girlfriend and I were lying together prior to and there was the pressure of her body against my groin/erection, perhaps that has something to do with it.

I am a healthy soon-to-be 23 year old with no health conditions (unless…).

Thank you for your help.

An unconfirmed "diagnosis" over the internet: From all indications, this does in fact seem to be "blue balls".

The difference between the two is that an orgasm reestablishes the flow of blood; whereas, having an erection and not subsequently climaxing, leaves you "congested" for what can be several hours--or, until you either masturbate, or, as the old saying goes: "take a cold shower!"

Back in the days when I was experiencing the condition fooling around with girls and not climaxing, I'd be alright until I got home and then began to experience the aching. Each experience or occasion can be different.

Generally speaking a guy does not become nearly as aroused while masturbating as when in the company of a companion! The likelihood of experiencing blue balls while home alone while not impossible are not as great.

There are a couple of fixes that you can do if you and your girlfriend are not yet at the stage where she can help you enjoy a climax. First, get to this level of intimacy sometime in the near future if possible and practical; second, stop on the way home and take matters into your own hands so to speak, either at the side of the road or a public restroom. If you want to hold on and wait until you get home, then masturbate as soon as possible and/or take a cold (cool) shower.

Possible, tho not very likely.

I hope this is of help. Got questions?

Thank you for your reply.

I was hoping that it wasn't anything other than "blue balls", which isn't serious. That I haven't experienced this before though (don't think so anyways) left me worried as to what could be going on.
