Hey everybody,
My girlfriend recently went to her gyn to get a prescription for birth control so she can start using it. She knows she's not supposed to start taking the pill until her period starts, but she hasn't had her period in 2 months. We haven't had sex so it can't be pregnancy. She's getting really upset because well both of us are dying to start having sex again. Does anyone have any ideas of what's going on?

Stress, something hormonal... She ought to see her doctor about it, but if she's young it's not unnormal for the periods to be a bit unsteady.
As Orow said she needs to call the GYN who prescribed the med & see when they recommend beginning it since she has not gotten her period.

I think the original poster said that the DOCTOR ordered it be taken when her periods started so why offer such senseless advice ?
Always ask of the person who originally prescribed the medication. Call the doctor's office; the nurse will tell you what to do.
Hi! Im new! but it sounds like your girlfriend could have a hormonal imbalance like Polycystic Ovaries Syndrome if she's not having her periods, she should go see her doctor/gp about it, if she starts taking the pill it should regulate her periods as well as help prevent unwanted pregnancies
