How was your weekend?
Do anything fun?
We had our work Christmas party at a really cool location not too far away called the French Lick hotel and Casino. http://frenchlick.com/ It's a very beautiful hotel pair, and casino stashed away in the middle of Indiana. It was a big attraction back in the 1920's, gangsters, etc. They had fallen into ruin for quite some time, but a number of years ago they were restored and given a gaming license again. The West Baden hotel is especially gorgeous, with a GIANT rotunda that all the rooms encircle. We had a nice dinner, open bar, some gambling vouchers, and a room. Room was well used by us as well. Didn't have time to take advantage of the spas, but plan to next time we go.We came home plenty relaxed with some big smiles on our faces. |

Yes it is! It was long enough away to clear our minds of kid stuff, yet not too long where they enter back in with thoughts of missing them.
Plus we got over our "taboo" of period sex. Granted I don't see that happening too much for the extra hassle, but none the less. ![]() |

My weekend was bloody boring as hell.I was all by myself on Friday night. My partner stayed at my place Saturday night which is unusual as weekends I normally spend at his place and leave the kids to fend for themselves. They are teenagers 18 and 13(don't have any little ones anymore TG).Did not get sex though as my guy was sound asleep when I went to bed.He is a volunteer fireman (captain of his brigade)and is very busy now that summer is with us here in Australia. He got a call up to go out of state to help fight a fire.He was due to fly out Sunday afternoon,so I let him sleep well.
Not so lucky Sunday morning however, had to give him a going away present. In the end he didn't end up going as he felt that he will be more needed in his local patch.Alone Sunday night, but have been chatting to several lovely ladies on the internet and may have found myself a new playmate (my other one decided that she isn't as into women as she first thought). So that was my uneventful weekend.EEK hope you're back to your normal self ASAP.And Firmus period sex "taboo",well i'm glad you got over that hurdle at least this once. It's not all that taboo for me,well maybe the first day or two when it is at it's heaviest. But they are getting lighter and shorter as I have been going through menopause for almost a year.My ex husband was obsessed with period sex,he had to have it whether I wanted to or not and now when I tell my new partner that it's ok,I don't care one way or the other he still says it is my decision in the end, that he won't force me,unlike my ex.I think that it was very taboo with his ex and he maybe thinks that's how it is for all women.

Mine was a regular weekend. Worked Friday evening, to bed at midnight. Saturday a family breakfast then Saturday night to a BDSM club party in which the theme was pimps and whores. I went as a pimp, of course, with two whores. At the party we were joined by another female friend who went as a lap dancer. The girls brought in a lot of "pay" from dancing and sharing their large breasts, two DDs sets and a D set, with the "customers" and I probably would have won a prize for most successful pimp if I had not been busy with an hour long whipping session with one of my girls. Later after taking home the girl who doesn't share my bed with me I was stopped at a road block for a random breathalyzer test. After blowing 0.00 I was sent on my merry way. Sunday I was busy most of the day working, had a wonderful meal when I arrived home and turned in early.
@ EvilEvilKitten I hope your teddy bear's ankle mends soon and hope your back trouble is no more than some sore muscles and not something more serious. Last edited by dlb; 12-05-2011 at 11:02 AM.. |

Friday was my birthday.
We had about 300 people attend with a great buffet dinner, dancing, and a half hour floor show put on by several local dance studios. The performers were both teachers and students! (Truth be told, it was also the night of our dance club's annual "Holiday Gala", semi-formal dinner and dance--but we can combine the two, right? )Saturday was a pot-luck dinner party that a friend has each year at her house. Seven others attended for dinner and conversation. Sunday we attended a weekly dance. > > Isn't it odd how so often a weekend away loosens a woman's interest? Almost as if freed from the cares and stresses of her household, she reverts to normal. Yes! C is a medical technologist at a lab that tests for "Valley Fever" (don't ask me to spell the medical name: Coccidioidomycosis, I think, let alone pronounce it), a fungus commonly found in the dirt here in California's Central Valley, Arizona, and nearby desert places. She works long and hard with others in her laboratory that is understaffed, so we try quite often to do weekend getaways. Two weeks ago Friday I picked her up after work and we drove to Half Moon Bay, down the coast a short distance south of San Francisco. We stayed at a very nice motel right on the PCH {Pacific Coast Hwy.) and went hiking on a trail adjacent to the Ritz Carlton hotel perched on the cliff overlooking the ocean. The trail we went on meandered thru the golf course. That Saturday C wandered thru the downtown area, went to a farmers market, and later we went wine tasting. (We missed the weekend that they will fill your empty wine bottles and label them with personalized labels--darn). Sunday on the way home we drove south to a couple of hamlets before turning east and over the coast range mountains into "Silicon Valley". The first town is known for its long time family owned general store. It has lots of neat and unusual items for sale. A combo was playing in the front of the store and several musical selections were danceable, so guess what we did among the tables and chairs? After dancing for a while we purchased a couple of items and left to go visit the second wide spot in the road after the musical group finished their gig. We had a late lunch at a tavern. This meal as were the others we had that weekend in other restaurants were fabulous! yet not all that expensive. Speaking of getaways, did you know we were in Dallas and environs in June and in Denver and environs a month ago? Aren't laptops and WiFi service great? Ya jus' neve' know when people are sneaking around. -doc P.S. As a windup to a great weekend, our computer club meets each first Monday of the month, so as tradition has it, tonight's meeting will be another pot-luck dinner at the home of our President. Members and/or spouses will all congregate for an evening of food, fun, and conversation to wind up the year. Last edited by dancingdoc2; 12-05-2011 at 12:41 PM.. |

TY dlb, my back is only the result of being stressed. Nothing serious.
Yes, his ankle is healing nicely but it was a bad torsion break (Halloween) so it will take some time to heal. He expects to be hobbling around by XMas but we shall see. In honor of the season, he has gone with a bright red cast this time. |

Last week, medical/political meeting in Bucharest. Mental whiplash. Talking about modern medical training and then visiting hospitals that re-use syringes. Stayed for the weekend to visit and travel the glorious countryside.
Beautiful dinner at a seventeenth century castle with candle chandeliers and lovely dining and then drove to the hotel through a community of Roma (Gypsies to much of the West). The meal had been prepared and served by Roma but they are not acceptable in the cities. My brain feels bifurcated.
