Forum stale

Is it just me or is this forum getting a bit stale, there seems to be a lack of input and different content now.

Just wonder what others think I maybe wrong.

Here in the colonies many people are on vacation or doing fun in the sun activities. Business is generally slower during the summer. Add to this the normal waxing and waning of questions and I think these are the reasons.

Me? I'm going to the California State Fair later today.

It runs in cycles. Or, fits and starts. Recently it has been dull but that will change.

No rules; just an observation. We sometimes go for a month or so with worthwhile stuff each day. Then we hit dry spells with nothing particularly interesting for a while. Just like conversation at a cocktail party but stretched out a bit.

Yeah, I hate the dryness around here. But hopefully people will get back active when the time allows.

Yep it has got so stale that people are pulling up very old posts (over 5 years old) and responding to the OP as if it was just yesterday the thread was started... Rather bizzare me finks lol

I've only been here a fraction of the time of many of the older members and in that short span it's been quite cyclical. The most common questions will probably remain the most common questions being asked over and over by those who haven't spent much time browsing the forums first. I would like to thank those who have stuck around for so long and continue to help others despite the frustrating fatigue of mundane repetition.

Thoughtful discussions are often started by thoughtful questions - and those have been rare.

Maybe questions are not obligatory; maybe an observation is all that is needed to tap into a productive seam of discussion.
I look at the map of Pakistan where there are horrendous problems. Over the western border is Afghanistan where there is an abundance of men and vehicles, medical facilities, helicopters, skills - oh why can they not down weapons for a few weeks.
We played the Germans footy/soccer on Christmas Day in the trenches during WW1.
