Close your eyes, take a deep breath and count
Pick a mantra, like 'IlovemyjobIlovemyjobIlovemyjob.....'. I knew a prof once that for one whole school year said 'it's all good' every time something got on his nerves--he once had to shout 'good' through gritted teeth, but ya know. Mine lately has been to recite the first phrase of The Serenity Prayer. Just enough of it to remind myself of its message. What it comes down to is, keeping your morale in check until you can completely relax later in the day. |

An easy way to get more exercise throughout the day is to do normal things differently. Take the stairs and move slowly through the steps. When carrying groceries, hold them with your arms bent instead of straight. Randomly do a set of 20 pushups throughout the day. Maintain correct posture at all times. Engage in sex marathons.
