What irks me is that so many men seem unable to use a urinal properly; this based on the amount of urine on public restroom floors right in front of the urinals.

When I was a teenanger, I never knew that some people left the seat raised up. I actually thought that this debate was always about the solid lid and that somehow, women hated to see the water in the toilet for some reason. I guess this is because my family is from another culture that never leaves the seat up?? I believed this until years later when I moved out of my parents house and other guys renting in the same place were leaving the seat up.
As for public restrooms, I think that is due to drunks coming from the bar...
