Victorian Bushfires

Hello all,

Just wanted to start a topic on the tragedies happening presently in Victoria. Currently, 181 have died. All bar 3 houses in Kinglake destroyed -- 90% of Marysville destroyed. The fires still burn, and at some stage I may attach some photos I've taken. But I just wanted to make sure everyone was thinking of people less fortunate than I -- those who lost everything, and those who have lost their life.

And a good news story that has come out of the fires..

Cheers for the thoughts love.. but we're not tracking too bad in the Yarra Valley anymore. I've roasted marshmellows on bigger fires then the bushfires we got just around the corner.. its those poor bastards up the road that are still in a bit of strife. But for us, I'm more bloody concerned about you sheep-shaggers beating us in cricket..

Yea one of the fires, that killed 21, was deliberately lit. Hang 'em from the highest tree I say.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and the people of Australia! We have some nasty fires in the western U.S. but none as bad as what you are having.

Also I hope all "yours and our" Fire Fighters are safe as they battle side by side to control this .....

Life without dancing?
I don't think so......

The feet may learn the steps;
yet only the spirit can dance!

Dancing is the fastest way to get
a girl alone and into your arms in public.

The Tango smolders and burns. It ignites the
heart, the soul, and yes, the libido.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass,
it's about learning how to Dance in the Rain!

Dance as if nobody is watching.

I've never heard of Bel Air -- which means its nowhere near me. Which also means its nowhere near the fires. Adelaide (perhaps Bel Air is near there which would explain why I haven't heard of it) is about a 10 hour drive from here. The city of churches is safe as churches.

-EDIT: Just had a look where Bel-Air is. Its in NSW. There are fires in NSW, put not being a local -- I couldn't tell you where. From where I am it would be an 8hr drive to there. Their is one fire closer in a town called Beechworth, but thatd still be a 4hr drive away. None of the fires that have killed are close to either town.
