shopping for men at christmas....

I personaly find it close to imposible! i don't want to buy somthing like aftershave because its like what everyone buys when they cant think of anything! and all's my partner is interested in is football and booze like any young man in his early 20s!

so my question is... What are YOU buying for your other halfs this christmas?

the question is open to anyone who wants to answer men women etc just general christmas gift idea's

Maybe there is something he needs, but might not know he needs, or something he would like , but probably wouldn't buy for himself.

He is your boyfriend! I have never met him. Surely you can think of something he needs or would like. Hint-young men are not averse to owning kitchen appliances. Microwave ovens, blenders, and juicers all have appeal to bachelors, even those who are only interested in football and booze.

Beltbuckle, shirt, towels---anything with the logo of his favorite club. Take him to a match, an away match in another part of the country. That should go over well. Or a tour of his favorite distillery or brewery. Hey, that could be combined with trip to the away match.

You could sort of ask him also.

ive tried asking him n he just says "anything as long as its from you i don't care, if you cant think of anything get me aftershave or somthing everyone else does"

so hes a no good! on the help ! haha

I bet you know his favorite club. You can bone up by watching the sports news and reading the sports page in the newspaper or online. Also ask a trusted friend or relative who follows football to help you understand the game a bit and to gain a bit of general knowledge. Your BF might be a good place to start.

i asked him to explain ages ago and he said he cant be botherd too much to learn when your startin from scratch but i will ask my friend who knows football and loves it! shel help alot! XD

When I was in my early 20's my christmas wishlist was:

Sports equipment
Surfboard
Skimboard
A plane ticket to visit friends who had graduated and moved
A nice blender
A good frying pan
A new cellphone
A weekend vacation with my family
A hypersonic sound inducer
A vat of liquid nitrogen


A few years later and only the last two remain...............with the threat that if I ever try to buy one my family is going to call the company and have them stop delivery because I'd be way too mischievous with them! Spoilsports I say!

I would talk to his friends who he would probably talk to and perhaps have more insight.

Some things like a cell phone are great yet only if you do some research and get the brand/model that provides these features and functions. I remember years ago that I asked my girlfriend for a calculator watch with metal band. She purchased a much more expensive watch and failed miserably to satisfy my desire. Lesson: do not just purchase a gift without doing a bit of fact finding, first.

Replace the surf stuff with dive stuff and you have my list, including the liquid Nitrogen, its so much fun to play with. Also, what does a hypersonic sound generator do?
