Christmas presents! 2008

What is on your Christmas present list this year? I'm looking for ideas.
Doesn't have to be sex related.

I think I would like the Saladmaster Electric Pan. $$$$
But I also want new hiking boots.

Christmas gifts from family members or a significant other?

I know I am asking for nothing! If one feels inclined; there are a certain "line" of gourmet knives which I would like to have for cooking purposes. Knowing the prices for such are quite high; I only ask for one.

Overall, all I would like is; a Merry Christmas with my family which is enjoyable, to watch the "family kids" open their gifts while they still believe in Santa, and true inner happiness for everyone world-wide, regardless of what they do, or do not, have--enjoy & relish in the love which does surround you.

Well gee. I'll be in Spain, but not until Nov. 2009, but I know where to get great kitchen knives in Albacete where such things are produced-very fine quality- and I can get an entire set. Or if you want a kitchen sword I can stop by Toledo. But I don't expect to be back to NY until 2010, so if you can wait.....

Personally I never ask for anything myself either. Surprises are wonderful!
I look forward to a cheery season with family and friends.

I never know what I want... I don't have anything particular on my list. And in the last couple of years I have preferred surprises, with the odd small specific thing thrown in.

This will be my first christmas with my new gf though, and I have no idea what to get her. She spent a fair bit of money on me for my birthday, and put a decent amount of time into things, but I really don't know what to get her, or what to ask her to get for me since she will be constantly asking me what I want.

If anyone has ideas for Christmas presents please post it.

My first Christmas with my girlfriend I gave her a perfume set and chocolate. It unfortunatly turned out to be a perfume she already had and never used.

Last Christmas i gave her custume of her favourite Soccer team. She liked it but I thought it wasn't good enough.

I need something special this year to make it up. Thats why I started the search early!

What type of personality is she? I would not buy a woman perfume unless you saw her in the store & she loved it. I would also ask what is the price range. I assume you have been together what 1 1/2 now? What about a small necklace or bracelet with something she likes on it as a charm? Have you ever made anything for her?

I'm hoping for a job offer for Christmas.

Try taking a deep look at the things she likes to do or watch, and get something special related to them that she wouldn't ever expect.

The idea that I give men, and I guess women could tweek the idea for their own use, is to put a little thought into it but don't get too specific. If she spends alot of money thru the year in one particular store get her a gift card for that store.
Now some may think that is impersonal, yet it did take some thought, and some effort. What is her favorite store and you do have to go into a mall to buy it. If you are not sure of the store go into her closet and check the tag in the collar of her shirt, or in the waistband of her pants. Today lots of stores have their own labels. Now you have to go into a mall to buy the gift card you might want to take a picture of her with you show it to a couple of the salespeople and one of them they know something she does want yet has not yet gotten yet. If you get her that and wrap it with the gift card she will be happy. Even if it's a pair of earrings it's the thought that you went to the mall and to her favorite store that shows the thought.
I also told a guy, who had been married the summer before and taken a three week honeymoon and thought no need for a gift he was wrong. Now he and his now wife I guess just put money in a vacation account instead of gifts, still it was the first christmas she was his wife. I told him to go out and get her a small gold heart, even if it was 19.99 and might turn her neck green, to give that to her on Christmas and thank her for being his wife. She was totally surprised, and the fact that he gave her this in front of her dad got him major brownie points. No. he didn't only spend 19.99, he said he could do better than that, but she was expecting nothing and was totally surprised that he had done this for HER.
Some of my friends say I should charge for some of my ideas, yet I'm in the holiday spirit so these are free. LOL
And you know some of the best gifts are those that are handmade. Just don't do fruitcake. LOL

I prefer gifts that you can share with the person or an activity. Such as a dual massage (both you and the person get massages together) or a day trip to do something the person is interested in. A sports game, theater, romantic carriage ride... whatever. I try to also get something tangible to give them on the actual Christmas day as well. I also like the vacation fund idea. That's what I wanted my parents to give me, just some money for that!

Rubies, diamonds, emeralds, a Mercedes Benz, an LR3, my new house, a wickedly filthy rich portfolio, and clients who pay on time and do what you ask them to do - OH you meant my REALISTIC XMas List!!

A bottle of champagne, a bottle of my favorite scotch, a few books, a few art/hobby supplies, a new laptop, some perfume, a few trinkets aka jewelry.
