The major issues come down to; the Lobbyist's, Constituencies, and the riders placed on it. I doubt at this time it will fly...However, CT just adopted a marriage legal if performed civilly.

As a straight & now divorced person...I see no issue with gay marriage since it has no bearing on those who are married & does not change their status in any way. People are fearful of the unknown unfortunately. Hopefully somewhere through time it will pass.

I personally feel it will prevent those, as my first ex-husband, from trying to live a lie. Meanwhile, entitling those to share the same rights and freedoms as all individuals. And the matrimonial attorney's will have more work [creating their individual greater wealth] on divorce issues.

I just saw one of the Yes on 8 ads. It was the one where the little girl tells her mom that she learned that Princes can marry Princes. I actually thought it was kind of cute. I mean how is that a harmful piece of information for a child to have. I find it very interesting that they mentioned rights, they said they would lose the right for there children not to hear about it. It seams to be a pattern amongst these people, say that there is dangerous information and acting like they are the ones having there rights striped away. How sad, they are losing there right to force there beliefs on others.
