Fun, had to ask if you saw them surfing the Mavericks on the Fuel
Channel this past week? You were dead on about that surf
really unbelievable. They (the surfers) discussed the "guts" it
took to simply dive in with those big waves..........your mind says
noway and your body heads for the shoot.........Pretty awesome.

Unfortunately I don't have access to that channel. I moved out of SoCal for 9months recently, but will hopefully be returning permanently soon. I am definitely in serious surf withdrawal. I've seen multiple DVD's highlighting Mav's during the biggest swells and keep up to date with the locals latest vid uploads at least. I've only been out in 14-18 max before, but even then, that same thing goes through my head, only with an added "Oh sh************************************************ ***************************"
as I commit.

Fun, it was actually quite daunting watching it even from the big tv............the
power. I use to think that once upon a time I had a decent amount of courage
in another sport but that at the Mavericks takes more than courage and swagger.
If you were not one of the best it would be fool hearty to even paddle out in
that surf. That's big stuff there. NO WAY JOSE'. A few good restuarants not
far away in San Jose come to think of it.

I would really like to get there after going to the NE for a few days in the
month of October but seriously don't think I would even consider going
out in that. There were jet skiers everywhere watching for any hint of
trouble. If you were out there alone or with a buddy or two you are
really taking a chance. Helicopters as well hovering about.

Going to go for Fun...........not sure it is the best laid plan but sometimes
you simply gotta say what the heck. Those are tall columns of water and
I know you total me about the Great Whites but actually did some research
as well and am amazed how many actually call those waters HOME. Makes
one actually think twice but I guess you cannot let danger grip you. I am
anixous to hear how your trip was. Keep me posted.

Ohhhhhhhh that stinks.........I am heading out in several weeks.......I use to dislike
traveling but I seem to like it more and more.......new places strange faces are
kinda cooooooool. Keep me posted. Fun go to the YouTube Thread and comment
when you can.
