Reminds you of...

What are some songs from the rock/metal genres ranging from the 80's(maybe later 70's) to now that remind of romances and love?

For that time period, I like Bon Jovi. They have some romantic stuff like “Prayer ‘94”. Most of there songs about love are pretty dark though. I'm sure Sera has a lot.

Genesis "Follow you; follow me". Phil Collins "against All Odds". Don Henley "Heart of the Matter." Eagles "One of These Nights". John Cougar [Melloncamp now] "Ain't even done with the night". Guns & roses "November Rain" & "Patients". Prince & Revolution "Purple Rain". Poison "Fallen Angel", "Every Rose has it's thorn", "I Won't Forget You" . Ratt "your in love". Skid Row "I remember you". Stevie Nicks "Silver Spring" (unsure of the year but around there). Springsteen "Hungry Heart"

There were not bountiful love/romantic songs in the 80's. It was more of a lyric based genre & alternative rock sound (80's). More like the outburst of Billy Idol & "Flesh for Fantasy"; reminds me of being in the night clubs.

Skynard..."Freebird".

Hope this helps you!

I love google. LOL

Just reading some of those song titles gave me goose bumbs.

How sad were we when Andy Gibb died, and who can't hear Rod Stewart singing Maggie May.
How we all ordered Pina Colada, and wanted to order them on Thunder Island?
We had Grease, The Partridge Family, The Brady Bunch and the Jackson 5.
Then there was The Village People and the looks of shock on our parents faces when we said The "sex" Pistols....ooohhhhhhh Le Freak.
The 70's were fun. my my my my sharona....
For those old enough enjoy the memories.

Gorgeous Mistake has a spectacular aura about
I love all these 70-80's songs so much!!!

I'm only 17, so not much memories there.

But there are a couple... if they count, since I didn't make the memories at that time, but the songs still have memories attached even if they were only recently

How deep is your love? -Bee Gees
Almost anything by The Cure.. ahhhh Robert Smith...
Patience -Guns N Roses
In the Air Tonight -Phil Collins
I'll Stand By You -The Pretenders
Sunday Bloody Sunday -U2
