I can wall paper my entire house with degrees; the point is what? It's how I choose to employ my talents which get me into a career and a decent paying job.

A State Trooper retires with more of a pension & higher paid salary than the majority of MD's...and think these guys barely have a degree nor do they have liability as a MD does.

lol define liability... not only are they responsible for your life if they draw a gun near you but they are supposed to put themselves in harms way so that the gun isn't directly pointed at you. wearing a badge gets them shot at at times and being a cop he may be forced to arrest one of his friends... its a crappy situation but someone has to do it. the armed forces and the police have the biggest pluses and worst minuses in all fields imo.

A friend of mine that I wrote about here in a different thread also wants to go for an MD. Her plan was do a double bachelor in Biology and Mechanical Engineering and then go on for a PhD in engineering and an MD. She was going to do all her degrees at Stanford University but now she is strongly considering transferring to the school I am going to and just doing her doctorates at Stanford or some where else. Anyways it seems like biology is a great base to go on to an MD. Also she says it is a lot of fun, she is already two years in to it.
