Wow thats quite distressing ... I know myself when I try to give up it is
hard enough without the drugs that are meant to help being that dangerous.

I gave up "giving up" after I was hypnotised.... Dont know what it did to me
but i ended up crying non stop till I had a smoke

It blocks the nicotine receptors and also decreases the quantity of them. Once beginning the medication if one chooses to take a smoke it has no uptake effect on the receptor's; therefore, the urge to smoke is useless. Side effects reported by most are Gastrointestinal related & odd dreaming patterns. Mainly noticed for myself was the drowsiness since I had no experience with changes in dreams or nausea as others reported. I also did not experience any of the FDA warnings of suicidal thoughts, etc. Just severe fatigue; however, it did work. I found decreasing the dosage worked best--I did not require high amounts and could actually skip to alternate days rather than daily. Additionally the regime is for a long period of time, I did not need all that long...6 weeks was sufficient.

If one never smoked a day, best off to never try!!!!

Yeah, glad I never tried. When younger I was very sacred that something like
that would effect the athletic performance and with age the performance had
another incentive other than self pride so I was always very cautious around
anything like that. That is good information though.

Conversely, this is why I put the update up...I know it has been of question for sometime. However, if monitored, the trade off in some may outweigh the risks but I did not think you smoked that much.

Perhaps the best targeted audience are those who are chain-smokers!
