Zaclir 4%

Anyone ever used this?

Well my face is super dry and keeps peeling.. it's gross.. not noticeable.. but I can notice it.. and it's just uncomfortable

Should I stop using it, or is this normal?

Can't call my dermatologist, he's out for the weekend.

Never used/prescribed it since it's Dermatologist use only. Rx strength to turn over the epithelial cells made of a Benz. Peroxide. Its used for acne. Perhaps it's too strong for you? You will peel and do not strip the peels off since they need to fall off on their own.

If it's an issue? Hold until you get a hold of the Dermatologist...and if you put a call into them, someone is on call & will return your call. If it's causing irritation hold.

I always suggest "Serious Skin Care" (HSN product) for patients which is a glycologic, milder and has a full package of gel, wash, touch up area, and moisturizer. Found even those on Accutane were able to go off the med.

What about differin?
I wash my face twice day with Zaclir 4% and I apply Differin at night. My acne isn't bad at all.. just trying to get an awesome complexion.

It's says on both the Differin and Zaclir bottles that symptoms include peeling. It's really just on my cheeks.

I'll ask about the "Serious Skin Care".

Ducy is just really nice
I used a lot of stuff a few years back (Whatever that stuff was that P-diddy and Jessica simpson used...umm....proactive) I also used some cheapy stuff like neutragena scrub and even went to a derm. a few times. They used the good ol' nitrogen and stuff to make my pores close and stuff.

Sadly nothing ever worked. I mean if your just trying to get a great complexion, just soap, and a washcloth. Warm (almost cool water) gently scrub in circles and viola! no more acne and clean face. All my cousins use it, and my girlfriend does as well and they have great skin and littlee drying.

If you are looking for just a good complexion; I would look at miler products such as Serious skin care or Proactive. Both work with a glycolic...if you get older or have acne in time there is harder strengths you can use which are professionally used & obtained. However, they are harsher. I used glycolics such as Murad which is expensive but same as SSK; keep my skin wonderful, minimal lines as I aged. I still wear no foundation. When I began to develop fine lines; abut 40--I went to using the glycolic peels over the winter and a MD strength glycolic. Keeps skin clear and in good condition but need to use a sunscreen when using glycolics...so I let the harder stuff go during the summer and go for a tan.

chibacochoke is on a distinguished road
how long have you been using it?

i know when i started proactiv my face burned and turned red and dry and peeled for about a month and a half until my sensitive skin acclimated. then it worked awesome! the same thing happened to one of my girlfriends who was on a pretty serious cream and pill for acne. but after about two months it began to die down and work really well.

sometimes it just takes time for your skin to kind of "get used to it".

A doctor wrote the prescription. The same doctor is your best source for information about how it is working.

The medication you're taking just needs to run its course, things like this are to be expected. When you can contact your dermatologist ask if he/she can recommend a certain safe moisturizer you can use.

Forgot to add

The stuff is working great!! My face all around is clear, except my cheeks where it's peeling.

Thank you everyone.

I think I'ma wait for a month and if it proceeds, I'll ask for something else.
