Tripping Out....Help?

Okay so I started having a panic attack. My heart was fluttering for almost 5 hours before it stopped and now all my fingers are numb (well the tips at least) They feel like they are asleep. To the docs out there. Hospital a good idea? I mean im just really freakin out

Also I am sorta feel a tingling in my hands and along my forearms....I have been sitting down on my bed since my panic attack started. Like IDK if its maybe a compressed nerve but yea....

Usually the symptoms of tingling are secondary to hyperventilating & some experience dizziness. Try breathing into a small brown paper bag; this decreases the amount of oxygen you are taking in through rapid breathing and causes you to take in CO2 with less high O2 concentration. You have to figure out why you are having a panic attack and try to calm yourself down & if you cannot see your doctor.

Ducy,

Take your meds and see your doctor. Could be a panic attack; could be dozens of other things.

machine_rat will become famous soon enough
Was it triggered by anything?

People sufferring panic attacks for the first time will swear that they are having a heart attack.

chibacochoke is on a distinguished road
i get panic attacks when i am holding something back. mine usually entail tunnel vision-to complete momentary loss of vision, rapid breathing, nausea, mild convlsions in my arms, and tears. i usually just have something i need to talk about that i've been ignoring. anything bothering you lately?

Panic attacks should only be induced by your secretary telling you "IRS holding for you on line 1".
