actually I didn't understand that I'm not a politics expert, here in Italy many aggressions are carried out but guns rarely used, how many times do people accidently hurt themselves or others, common you get into your car and theres someone in the that points a gun at you, have you got a chance to fumble in your handbag to get yours out ? lets be realistic, how many times do we hear of attacks in which the aggressor is fought off because the victim has a gun ? it would be a difficult process but guns should be removed from society. how many times does someone pass the syc tests only to be found later as a serial killer the analyst never dreamed he would be ? when a man with a riffle walks into a school and takes them all hostage with the power of a gun how do people defend themselves as I last remember it it was a tracical murder of a number of people after all he killed himself anyway HE HAD NOTHING TO LOOSE, and yea it happens often here in Italy the guy goes off his head shoots his family then himself how do you defend yourself from you own husband that has gone off his rocca (the guy that the analyst thought was stable enough to have a gun) as far as i recal there ae as many aggressions as these "accident" involving guns that were supposed to be for defense

criminals will ALWAYS find a way to get guns. outlawing guns only means that the potential victims will not have them if they need it.

example: drugs are illegal, yet many many people still have them. hmm.

It's a power thing. Ultimately society has to reject violence in order to disarm. But what society is without it's violent tendancies?

well frankly I find that a load of rubbish and sorry america only won the war of indipendance because the french helped them

America won its Independence primarily because of the colonists fighting and because British soldiers were not trained for fighting on the kind of terrain they found in America. British were trained to fight in open plains and fields, while colonists were smarter and used forest and trees that American was covered with.

But don't forget, they got smart from experience with fighting the 'French and Indian War'. And help from Spain and France in the later stages was a lifeline.

well that the japanese did not invade because of an armed population I call BS !
firstly america is hudreds of times larger than america they had no chance japan is a rocky island it can't support that many people, thats why they used very very carefully planed attacks like at perl harbour, those 6 odd ships that brought the planes to perl habour were all that the japanese had as a navy but they demonstrated that careful planning could way outwit brut but careless thinking power if america had of thought carefully they would have anticipated the attack. the japanese had less "fire power" but did more damage with what little they had

japanese civilians are no more unarmed that american as i recall many study self defense methods the proportion percentage wise is way higher than any other country, I'm afraid being big and powerful is not enough unless you think about what the hell you are doing all that power is a waste
