You basically think it does because you've been looking at this bare spot on your body somewhere and of course it's going to look "thicker" or "different" when you have new hair because you're not used to seeing something there. I'm a girl. I've been shaving my legs since I was a teen. Even when I let it grow out for awhile, and shave it, it doesn't come out thicker or courser than normal. And I've been shaving "down there" for a couple years now and I think it's actually less course and thicker now than it was when I didn't shave.
