Troubling issue.

I have been taking The anti Deppressant EffexorXr since Febuary But just recently i have noticed that im hardly getting erections if any at all. Its like i cant even get turned on nothing is helping even my girl friend has tried but we have achieved minimal results.. So basically I would like to know if there is anything i can do to try and get my erections back. ps im 17.

EffexorXr does have similar side effects to any anti-depressant including reducing sexual desire or response. Your body is still changing at 17 and the side-effects can change as the hormones stabilize in your body. Effexor is not as strongly repressive of sex drive as many other drugs used similarly but it can cause what you are describing. If you are on any other drugs (prescription or over the counter or street drugs), there could be a multiplier effect.

CAUTION: Discuss this with your doctor but DO NOT start messing with the dosage. Stopping cold turkey could have much worse effects. Make no changes without your doctor's recommendation.
