masturbation is unhealthy

hello,

my name is Paulo.

i say masturbation is unhealthy It takes away your energy. You fantasize unneccesary; which as a man is very bad for performance. so in general all your performances become more low or not at all . I did it. I felt sick after. I quit it.

tchau,

Paulo

Dear Paulo,
I do not know what part of the world you live in or what your cultural, moral, and religious teachings have been; however, your viewpoint and conclusions with respect to most western cultures are wrong on so many levels.

> I quit it.

I challange you to discover just how long you can abstain before urges take over and you take matters into your own hands so to speak. If you have a normal sex drive, I would predict that abstaining for a week is going to make your life very very difficult.

There is a cute movie that you can buy/rent from your local video store that was in the theaters a few years back entitled: "Forty Days and Forty Nights", starring Josh Hartnett. I suggest watching it.

I would also like to learn more about why you believe as you do. Please elaborate on your background and how you came to the conclusions you have.

Well, just take a little nap afterwards and you will have your engery back. Also how could fantasties ever be unneccesary? Granted they might not be earth changing but they can still be lots of fun.

I've heard the myth that masturbation causes performance to suffer a lot. I don't know where it comes from. Imagine trying to have sex if you've never had an orgasm in your life. You'd have absolutely no clue what to expect, and the classic stereotype of the guy lasting two strokes before he loses it the first time would fast become an unattainable goal. And as for masturbating even within a sexual relationship? It relieves stress (for both men and women), is a fun hobby, and has been proven to reduce the risk of prostate cancer. Although I suppose needlessly fantasizing about women is far more harmful than prostate cancer.

if you don't masturbate do you have wet dreams? It is unhealth to not release the built up sperm thus why our bodies (minds if you rather) have evolved to have wet dreams.

Personally I would prefer to masturbate if not for the fun of it but simply because its easier to clean up. If I masturbate I can catch it in a tissue and simply discard the tissue... if I have a wet dream chances are I am either going to have to wash a pair of boxers or sheets, in the morning.

Im 19 and I still have wet dreams...I never knew that could happen.
In a sense it bothers me but I dont really care. I just always thought I would have them just as I started puberty and the next few years following...not at 19.
I find if I masterbate more often I dont have any but then when I dont do it for a while, I tend to have wet dreams at the same time. (Ie: 7-10 days after the last time I masterbated).
As for being unhealthy? Maybe its just you who loses their energy afterwards. I gain energy majority of the time. I cant help fantasizing about my girlfriend. It almost comes natural.

co-sign

my boyfriend and I often mastrubate together...

1) it turns both of us on
2) when we move on to other things - he lasts longer
3) if 1) was done in the evening then morning sex is absolutely amazing!

so mastrubate away!

Paulo:

Of course, you are free to embrace your own feelings on the issue of masturbation, however, please be mindfull that there is NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE that masturbation has ANY adverse effect on the human body.

I just caution you to format your thoughs and feelings based on your faith, upbringing, or sociatal precepts.

If you choose NOT to masturbate, that is your right, but making statments one how YOU feel about a subject - and touting facts without backup, is very short-sighted.

Actually masturbation is very healthy. For men it actually reduces the risk of prostate cancer. I'm not sure of any documented health benefits for women but I know from experience that it helps to relieve stress and obviously it also relieves sexual tension. What sucks is when you masturbate and orgasm but then you just want more! lol
