The Clap

I'm 23, male. I'm almost sure I have it, and I feel so stupid on how I got coerced to do it without the fez on. I don't have any health insurance, nor the time. I'd like to get help from humans, instead of encyclopedias. What can I do to help the condition? Does it ever just go away?

Brandye is a jewel in the rough
In the last few days, there was an essentially identical (in content, not tone) post regarding chlamydia. I will give you the same answer: You have gonorrhea; it must be treated; end of story.

The risks of putting off treatment are very high. Gonorrhea is becoming more virulaent and is doing its damage a bit faster than it did in earlier days. Each day that passes will increase the difficulty of treatment. The cost in time and money (the drugs do not cost much) is negligible compared to the physical costs you will pay over time as the disease takes a stronger hold.

Thanks, but...

My doctor doesn't think it is, but he took a sample, and a Q-Tip, although didn't hurt, crazes me out, AHH! I was given these pills, Doxycycline, I threw up this morning. My doctor said he'd call me if there is anything, I wonder how good the test is, I never fully trust doctors.

By what is life after? Will the pills eradicate it automatically? What happens now?

If you threw up this morning, and he gave you antibiotics, you need to let him know. THe doc can find a different group of antibiotics that you are not overly sensitive to. I'm the same way, all we had to do was find different group of antibiotics then I needed them. And no, I didn't have STD, just an mean case of UTI. Either way, while test is not 100%, it is pretty good. A lot better than nothing. And you know, unless you are in the middle of nowhere, and even if you are in a middle of nowhere, if a person has an M.D. after their name, they will be able to help you with this better than we ever could.
