Just a quick observation that the IkonBoard seems to "run" a lot faster... personally, functionality is more important than appearance.
Hmmm.. that's also not bad advice on a sex board! LMAO

 And I agree with Wallyllama. I'm much more interested that the board run quickly and smoothly than I am in what it looks like.

Hey,
A little FYI... The move away from ikonboard is for 3 main reasons: 1) A growing number of exploits that could result in the whole site going down, not just the board... 2) The company that created it seemed to die off... 3) Search engines like google don't give pages with cgi extensions as much credit as html / php, so all the great discussion on this board is not making it out... We are leaning towards vbulletin at the moment, but wanted to check with our members to see if there was a strong preference against it... and if so why.... Cheers,

I use phpbb for one of my boards and I have no issues with it. Seems to run at a decent speed. At first I had a few mysql errors (I think that's what they were at least) but I think I went into the control panel for my domain and hit the reconfig button or whatever it was and it fixed itself.
But yea, I have no issues with it so I guess I'll go with that.
