Gay marriage legal in New York

a big victory for the proponents of same sex marriages was had this week as New York has become the 6th state to legalize the marriages. By far the most populous state to have passed legislation to date.

here is the link to an article stating the jubilant mood after victory [URL="http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110625/ap_on_re_us/us_gay_marriage_ny"]Gay marriage passes in NY

Gad does whatever God chooses to do - that's out of your hands. And S & G were myths and if you read the text - allegorical as it is - sex wasn't the "issue" anyway.

for some that is true EEK, but a lot fear their city or country becoming like Sodom and Gomorrah and what God will do.

Of course, Aphro - tis a shame people are so 'inbred' as to fear those different from themselves.

Yes EEK,I agree equality means giving the same rights to everyone, regardless of race, sexual orientation culture ect...But it doesn't always happen the way it should unfortunately.

It is NOT about 'deserving' anything.

The Constitution demands equality before the law.

Admittedly I was opposed to this at first but now I am all for it. The reason why I was opposed to it at first is because I was a conservative Catholic. Well, I've decided that being a conservative Catholic is not for me. I say it is great that gay marriage is legal in New York now! Gays deserve the right to get married just as much as anyone else. :)

Yes it is,but our Government hasn't acknowledged that the times are changing.By the way I am not from Sydney,I live near Melbourne.

Isn't Sydney one of the most gay friendly cities in the world aphro?

Wish good old Australia would follow this lead.Gay marriage so far has not been given the green light down under, and doesn't seem likely at any time soon.

About damn time!!!

HURRAY, NEW YORK!!
