I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm a "furry" but do find some of the art erotic (not so much the stuff on that site, but other gay themed ones). I'm no furry expert, but I don't think that's true. Most of them are vehemently against bestiality. It's anthromorphic animals that they find exciting, not the real deal. And many of them don't have a sexual component to what they're into at all. They just like dressing up in these costumes.

Maybe they were traumatised by Mickey Mouse at Disneyland when they were a kid. :D
