frustrating sex drive question

I used to have a high sex drive and then i went on anti-depressants and it completely killed it, I'm on Prozac and my doctor won't switch me at this point because other ones like Wellbutrin aren't approved for anyone under 20. :( This is very frustrating to me and my boyfriend, is there ANYTHING at all to boost my sex drive, like do those natural supplements actually work or something? thanks

I would talk to your doctor again and let him/her know how disturbing you are finding the side effects of the drug. As far as supplements, I doubt they will do any good since one, they can react negatively with certain medications and two, the decrease in libido is being caused chemically.

Many of the anti-depressants are libido killers for either men or women. DO NOT MESS with your drugs without discussing with your doctor. These things are nothing to mess with.

Anything that might help (and most of them do next to nothing) would affect your prozac and things would get even worse.

A concern: You are under twenty; used to have a high sex drive; and then went on prozac. Why were you put on prozac? These three facts do not usually hang together.

I'm 24. I've spent a lot of time on and off Prozac and I still dont feel like my sex drive is very good. I can empathise with you!!!

Im hoping you've explained things to your boyfriend. So he knows WHY.

Can you work on some ideas and fantasies of yours?? Have nights were he does things just for you and nights were you do things just for him??

There are obviously reasons for the Prozac but it doesnt matter what they are. You just need to realx more and talk more and maybe try something new?!? Toys can be fun..I love bullets at the moment. Put one on your clit during sex and BOOM!!

Failing all of that. When you and your doctor feel able to reduce the Prozac hopefully things will get better. But be careful not to rush because in the long run things just wont be good (I speak from experience)
