I strongly encourage you both to take a trip to Hedonism (aka Hedo) where everyone's as naked as they wish to be all of the time - no alcohol required. This experience should result in her understanding that being naked is something she can do whenever she wishes - drunk or not.

I had wanted to go to a nude beach for awhile. I once suggested it to my wife and she didn't even hesitate to say no and gave me her discusting look for even suggesting such an idea. A few years later we went on a cruise and one of the stops was in St. Maartin. Didn't make it to the nude beach, but the beach we did go to had some topless women. I asked if she wanted to try it. She said she might, but it didn't happen. On the ship we went up to the adult deck to find a lounge chair. Again being around topless women made her a little more comfortable, but she still wasn't willing to go for it but she seemed much more comfortable just being around it. This was really a good sign for her to be more accepting of being around nude or semi-nude people. Once we got back to port and off the ship, we had a few days before flying home.

I walked fully naked the entire length of Orient Beach, just to see if any one would stop me or say anything. I stopped in shops along the beach at other resorts, and no one told me to leave or cover up. Again, I was on a Bare Necessities cruise excursion, this time, visiting Club Orient.

I'm curious to know what the % of mature and responsible people are at those resorts relative to the number of creepy gawkers. I've lived on a nude beach - one with very unfriendly access at that - for a few years. There were always a few groups of naturalists and hippies, mostly in the 40-60 age group, with only an occasional younger person and then a steady stream of gawkers with cameras or drunks going around hitting on the naked women. These days it has become a very popular male homosexual gathering place, and most of them are very crude and unpleasant to be around.
Whatever benefit comes from being nude always seemed to be outweighed by the annoyance of having to put up with the immature people coming around.
funin - Hedo specifically excludes those who are not "into" being nude. Hedo II has the nude area on its own island, as I have heard, and they control access.

Right on Evil! Hedo II has a "booze cruse" on a catamaran that sails to the island, so I have been told. I am not a heave drinker and have not taken the trip. There is always plenty of action at the resort.
