Im a girl and Ive read about the joys of being 'fisted'. i talked it through with my boyfriend and he agreed to give it go. trouble is, he could only just about manage 3 fingers, and his habnds arent overly sized. I know i cant be that smalll, cos he is bigger than three fingers...

If you have never had a baby, you may not be able to comfortably accept fisting. The fist going in is about the size of the baby's head coming out. The head is a bit malleable and often an epesiotomy must be made (slight cut).

Menstrual cups come in two sizes - one for those who have never had a baby and one for those who have.

I personally do not see the attraction of fisting but if you wish simply keep trying and you will eventually be able to make it. In the meantime, be especially careful to avoid vaginal prolapse.

As far as I know, it's called fisting...and it's done either the way you did it or anally...but I don't know how the last one works.

I've never had it done, I can't really take 3 fingers, I think it's just cuz it's too wide for me at the knuckles, because there wasn't really a problem when I went to have sex.

What kind of college did you go to?

What I mean is are you a sex therapist or have some special training related to sex. Fisting just seems like an unusuall thing to teach during a college orientation.

Just an ordinary college. They gave us a quick sex ed class as part of the orientation, and that was one of the things they taught us. I think they were under the impression that a lot of students were fisting, because they provided free latex gloves along with other safer sex products, and the gloves were, in fact, being used. However, the only things I ever saw the gloves used for were dying hair and covering smoke detectors so students could smoke in the dorms.

A few tips on safe fisting:

Do not try to put your whole fist in at once. Instead, squeeze your fingers together to form a duck's beak, and put your hand in that way.

Before you remove your hand, insert one finger from your other hand. If you don't do this, the suction between the hand and the orafice can cause injury (to the orafice, not the hand).

I've never actually fisted, but for some reason we learned how to as part of my college orientation.

Something I've always wondered is whether fisting makes childbirth easier...and vice versa.

I think it's not talked about because it's not that common as far as I know...I mean, it may make the girl seem a little loose...read: slutty, but that's just in a high school situation. So keep on having fun!

xx22xx, you may have a point about it not being common - but again, why not? I have never seen fisting in any readily available adult magazine or movie, only on the internet - and even there not frequently.

It does seem to have a taboo to it, but I really have no idea why. There is a LOT weirder stuff going on out there than fisting.

Can anyone throw any light on this?

I'm pretty sure it goes after childbirth, it's easier to do fisting. I don't think it really makes all that much of a difference if you do fisting before childbirth.

Hello, me again. a note on the small vaginal cut. I have a permanent (stitched and scarred) apaesiotomy.Which is what confused me somewhat. Still, ive never had a baby so i guess im not overly stretched.

If im fisting my g/f i always use lubrication on my fist even if g/f is not dry as a few times she starts of very wet but will dry up quickly when fisting.

are there any health implications to vaginal fisting? I am a super paranoid person... and I wasn't sure?

I have been fisted on a number of occasions but I wasn't sure if it could hurt me...(it doesn't really hurt in the "ouch" sorta way. Also, the last time I was fisted I started bleeding... but i did not suffer any unusal pain, in fact i didn't even know I was bleeding until after when i went to the bathroom.... any suggestions? can't seem to find anything on the net about it.
