Ducy is correct as far as he went. When each of us gets through puberty and begins to masturbate we soon develop a specific method that is unique and specific to each of us. If we vary the rhythms, stroking, or pressures, too much then it will not be the same as we have conditioned ourselves to accept in order to trigger an orgasm.

possibly too much blood is going to your pelvis so there isnt much in your hands...this generally leads to tunnel vision as well...
Mine go numb as well sometimes...I believe its usually when I get a hand job. Perhaps its since your hands are the farthest away from you hips so any unneccessary blood use (i.e. not using hands so not need much blood for hand muscles) gets diverted to there...

I usually get all tingly when I cum, and it starts in my hands and kind of continues through my body. For me, that is just part of sexual response... but also if you are breathing really heavily and you expel more oxygen than you take in you could start to feel faint, which has a similar feeling.
