Not sure if I'm quite qualified to give advice but I'll give it a try. Are you experiencing lubrication problems that's leading to making penetration difficult or just because you're tight? If you're not wet enough KY makes several different lubes that work quite well, everything from the basic stuff to ones that heat up when rubbed. If you're just too tight try having him finger you at first, to get you excited. I do this with my girlfriend due to a similar situation. Simply have him start with one finger then as you get aroused and going move onto two, you should loosen up a bit.

All women should have gyn exams before becoming active. If you have not, it is time.

Might as well use vaginal jelly - it is water-based lube with spermicide added. Combined with a condom, very good protection. Get the starter kit with applicator. And use lots.
