last night i was over at me girlfriends house hanging out when we started doin stuff. started out by makin out then i started to feel her up then we got in position and i started fingering her (this was my first time doin this 
), i only used 1 finger, but while i was doing this it it seemed liek she was holding her breath and when i took my finger out she let a deep breath out. it seemd like she was enjoying it but i realy am not sure i wasnt goin fast and i diddnt want to ask her wat she though just incase i she diddnt like it (gettign shot down hurts...) so my question is how would i be able to tell if she is enjoying it or not? thanks for your time

as far as the previous statement...you are going to have to learn to get over this and just ask!
trust me the more sexual your relationship gets the more communication is essential.
maybe she was enjoying it.
or maybe she was really nervous. you know how like when you go to the DR and you are about to get a shot...so you close your eyes and hold your breath waiting for the pain?
maybe she was expecting it to hurt or something so she was waiting for it...and then when you took your finger out she relaxed.
she was probably just nervous if she is new to all of this. if it hurt her she more than likely would've told you to stop.
next time your are fingering her just ask..." does that feel good?"
or "how does that feel?" or "how do you want me to do it? fast or slow?"
like i said...learning to communicate is very important.

I would say to use two fingers... cuz with one there is sometimes no feeling unless you have big fingers.. but that is me personally ... so i would ask her. Also why not ask her things? You have to know if you are pleasing her right... you may get shut down but she will feel really good if you do ask her and say what should i do... to which is a turn on for a guy to say.. what feels good for you and how do i turn you on baby...so yeah and also just i think she was enjoying it:)
