Well that sucks for those who want to have a better libido. I have, at various times, suffered from a low libido. I know many women who have. Unfortunately, the problem of low libido can be caused by many things and I think that it is important to figure out the cause of it.

They're working on it but it is complicated.

I'm sorry, I don't even know what it means to have a low libido. Can you explain it a little?

Libido equates to a person's sexual instinct or sexual drive. If s/he has little or no interest, urge, or desire, for making out, fooling around, and, enjoying foreplay and/or intercourse, then s/he is categorized as having a low libido.

"Sex drive" can vary from individual to individual and what is "normal" has a range, not just a number on a scale. When someone has little or no interest, urge, or desire, then it is a good idea to investigate possible hormonal and mental issues.

Usually, libido or sexual desire is controlled by testosterone levels. Low level = low desire in both genders although the level considered low varies by gender with women having less.

menopause can apparently cause low libido in women. As EEK pointed out this is an hormonal issue.I've just started menopause at almost 44yrs old.I haven't found that my sex drive has declined as yet.If anything i think it has increased in the last few months.

Actually, when a woman's estrogen level drops at menopause it drops more radically than does her testosterone level yielding a net increase in her testosterone to estorgen ratio.

So most women find themselves sexually ramped UP at and after menopause.

Tee heee......Gentlemen! Watch your backs!!!
