Female libido pill

My girlfriend has a decent libido but she says that she tried an OTC arousal pill awhile back (she lived in another state at the time) that really helped her feel more aroused and intensified her desire. She wants to use them again but can't find them where we live now and unfortunately, we can't remember what they were called. It's one of those things where you recognize the product by it's packaging but never pay attention to what it's called....

Since we have to start over with this search, I was wondering if anyone here has used any of these herbal supplements with success? If so, what would you recommend trying?

Thanks!!

It is interesting that she would not know what she put into her body.

My answer to this is to arouse her naturally--by learning all you can about the how-to's of making out. For this all the two of you have to do is to go thru the Index found at the top of the main screen and read every article. As you read the information, together or independently, discuss what you have learned, add the information to what each of you already knows--and, practice.

In my never to be so humble opinion, it is much more desirable to become a world class lover than to bolster her level of arousal, excitement, and, anticipation artificially and remaining a mediocre lover. If you truly thirst for knowledge, then learn all you can about what is required to become a world class lover by acquiring skill, insight, and, technique. The Index is two pages long and full of articles that discuss all aspects of male and female orgasms, making out, foreplay, arousal, intercourse, relationships, gender differences, et cetera. Learning to peak each other's ardor naturally seems to me to be a much better thing to do than popping some pill.

Please begin doing your homework and then work on things in the "lab". In short order you will be happy you did.

The only thing I will say to this (since I'm not a doc)

Do NOT take any pill that contains Spanish Fly. Its basically a "natural supplement" made up of ground or powdered Spanish Fly. It gets into the urinary track, causes inflammation which is thought of to be "arousal". It can cause a lot of side effects like a UTI

Careful with meds!

This makes me think of a conversation I had a while ago after yet another article about how people use a lot of medication and combine medicines on their own, with the pharmacists and physicians being in the dark on what a person is "really" taking. And the people themselves having too little knowledge or interest in what the medication actually does, only craving for the "quick fix".

Just grabbing a few examples of how we fix and fix and fix, without ever fixing the problem! :(
Headaches because of the stressful job and lack of energy? Pop the aspirins.
Your stomach or intestines gets upset over the aspirins? Get to self-care asap and you'll find tons of possible fix-it-pills (with all their possible side-effects)!
It all gets too much and you develop insomnia? Get a prescribed sleepdrug to fix that. Finding that you will sleep, but are not rested, because these drugs will not take you to the deeper state of sleep that you require.
The kids are too busy and you can't handle that on top? Get a prescription for the kids as well (and mom secretly takes one of the Ritalin herself once in a while to help her "cope").
Your lack of rest and tons of stress and nearly constantly physically feeling poorly causes you to lose sexual desire? Or perhaps the type of BC-pill you take causes you to? Buy one of those libido-pills on the net.

In the end you may find yourself feeling worse than ever. Plus: taking a few types of medication that REALLY are wrong or don't go well together and it's "pop" and it's over!
No, I'm not against medication. I rely on a few myself, some required daily. Medication is good and can be life-saving and ease your pains and discomfort. But it comes with a few rules:

;
-Make sure you "know" your medication; read the brochure thoroughly
-Get it at a safe place (the net; not much safe :().
-Make sure your local pharmacist and physician have all your prescribed and self-care medication on record as well, so that they can check on possible cross-effects and interference.
-Be careful with herbs; check with your pharmacist. Some are notorious for interfering with your medication (like St John's Wort could make your bc-pill useless!)
-Don't take prescribed medication that don't has your name on it
-Please consult your physician to find the best "fitting" medication for you, instead of juggling with self-care to either fix the main problem or fight of side-effects of the prescribed ones.
-And perhaps most of all: try not to grab that "quick fix" to easy and eagerly. Find what's really going on; there could very well be a lifestyle or emotional cause to it. It may not be as "quick", but brings you a lot more in the long run.

Stay healthy, stay happy! :)

The German-American pharmaceutical company, Boehringer-Mannheim, had a drug in development for several years but discontinued development when the clinical trials did not show statistical significance in elevating libido. The interesting thing is that it was a psychotropic drug - it affected the mind rather than the genitals.

There have been various tests with both male and female hormones in creams to apply to the genitals. The results have been mixed but many doctors continue to recommend them.

Do a google search and you may find the packaging you allude to. If it works for her ...... . As you visit the various sites you will find herbal supplements, creams, gels, pills and god-knows-what.

Just as with male sex enhancers, most of the sites will "testimonials" rather than "clinical results." The gels and creams usually have the same active ingredient as some prescriptions but in a much lower dosage - too low to have any effect. The herbal stuff usually comes from home remedies and old-time medicine. May work for some but more likely a placebo effect than a clinical effect. Most of these concoctions are to make money with little regard for efficacy.

BUT, if it works for her, get it - preferably from a legitimate outlet - and do find out where it is made. China and India each have thriving legitimate pharmaceutical industries and even more thriving questionable products and no one really knows what, if anything, is contained.

I used a estrogen/testosterone cream, tell her to ask her gyno about it. While estrogen just keeps the vagina flexible and lubricated testosterone is the hormone that increases your sex drive. Although I'm not sure what it requires to have this prescribed.

Have you heard of placebos?

If a human thinks X will do Y then low and behold - Y happens even if X had nothing to do with it.

Female sexual arousal and desire is a complicated thing that is not yet clearly understood so how could a pill exist?

MY guess is - your gf was sold a story and bit so yes, Y happened when she swallowed X.
