Does anyone think it would be a good idea to have negative feedback comments approved my a moderator?

With the arbitrary way people seem to ding your rep I would say yes. It would probably mean way too much work for the Mods so I can't see it happening, but I hear ya. Very frustrating to have a negative response with nothing but gibberish as feedback on a comment that should...in no way, shape, or form...offend anyone.

Do not worry. I posted away through months of being on probation for calling a jerk a jerk when he was acting like a jerk. And I have gotten "bad grades" for telling the medical truth or telling some woman she was nuts - or words to that effect.

I believe people still read my posts.

The mods are busy enough keeping spammers and advertisers at bay. We can police ourselves and learn whom to trust.

At least having names put up, perhaps it would benefit, as people would think twice about leaving these annoying comments. I currently have three of these..

I think this would be good. I got negative rep that said "sdaughiseughiwueghwuho". Hmm... different language maybe?

These types of things are going to happen, so long as you're an active poster in any forum. Although, I didn't start getting negative feedback with nonsense explanations until recently. Brandye can say what she wants, because she already has a rep. of 14 ! Nah, seriously speaking, the manner in which you reply or post has every bit as much to do with how you are viewed by the community as your rep. or post count. You'll be fine.

But on posts which have no bearing whatsoever? like "post yor picture"?

Haha! That's too funny. I'm sorry your rep. got hit on that, but maybe someone's just jealous. I saw your pictures, and I wouldn't be surprised . It could also be possible that some are adding/taking away rep. from people at random so that they can give rep. when it counts. I haven't been able to give points to certain board members for months, because I haven't "spread the love" so to speak.

It's just a bit of a joke though. I've been on the board less then a year and I was actually pretty stoked to get my first Rep Power point only to see it gone for trying to help someone out without an explanation other then random key strokes. Oh well, that's life on a chat board.

I think we should have a report button on them where if it's a BS one you can report it and then a mod can look at a bunch of them without having to check on every single one. and then if someone does do a BS one they can get the privilege taken away with increasing time for each time he does it, such as first offence 5 days, second offence 10 days third offence a week with no posting or something along those lines
