Private Message Space

Hey Everyone,

We're just reviewing some of the board settings, and we wanted to get some feedback on the number of private messages that are allowed... If you feel that the 50 is not enough, please let us what you would like it to be below...

As well, we're finally getting to a position where we have the resources to start making improvements on many of the little things on the forum and around the website, so please start a new thread in this section of the board for anything else that you feel we need to fix / improve!

Thanks everyone!

tk

I like the new site! What are the guidelines for posting pictures in the Album section of my public profile?

I wonder how many users know that the messages in the private mail section can be bundled and downloaded to their Desktop? If heavy users would do this they would have access to stored messages yet delete old messages or those not important enough to keep handy on the site. The downloaded messages can be updated as often as necessary; their private mailbox will only have a few messages in it.

Now, having said that, I save quite a bit of my past correspondence because they have information that can be copied and pasted into new messages. For me, having a message limit of 100 would be ideal. The only folly with any size limit is in not culling the old messages and eliminating those no longer relevant, or, failing to download a bundle each week or so. If we fail to clean house it doesn't much matter what the size limit is because we'll always run the risk of having a full mailbox.

Bottom line: 100 but that's just me.

Life without dancing?
I don't think so......

The feet may learn the steps;
yet only the spirit can dance!

Dancing is the fastest way to get
a girl alone and into your arms in public.

The Tango smolders and burns. It ignites the
heart, the soul, and yes, the libido.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass,
it's about learning how to Dance in the Rain!

Dance as if nobody is watching.

Spaced,

When you look at it as one user... not that much, but when you multiply that by a current figure of 34,469, and keep in mind that the growth of the number of users is accelerating, it does add up... (we also have backups, backup backups, and backup backup backups... :P)
