Um, just having trouble uploading my avatar. It's an 8KB jpg file that is 80 by 80 pixels. It should be small enough, is the problem that it's a jpg? If so, what type of image should it be and how would I be able to convert it into something else?

I also tried linking it but that didn't seem to work either, I'm guessing it's because the site I tried to link it from is not a www site?

I'm just feeling a little bit frustrated because I like my avatar ... and would like very much for it to be displayed.

Did you do the left click thing on the computer? Then do a cut and paste???

When I try to upload it from my computer it says "Invalid File" and when I try to link it the response is "Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file."

Same problem, tried using photobucket links as well but nothing

Have to be certain the image is really small...Photobucket did not work; had to save to C files and do a upload. I used to have a dancing banana for mine...

I have had the same problem with the invaled file thing. Also, I was woundering if the avitar would be alowed. It is a image of Lenny Bruce giving the camera the finger. it repersents the fight for free speach which is what this forum is about.

I am not certain--this you need to ask a moderator. They are very pro "free speech"--be certain [personally] it's in good taste.

Found you have to take a small image, upload to your c-file on your computer and then place it in the avatar spot on the profile. Look at the amount of bits contained or image file size. I know both demon & I had dancing figures---pretty simplistic.

If you attempt to upload your image and it's too large--the site upload will reject the bits/image. Not certain the "proper IT terminology" for this stuff!

If in doubt or have a problem ask the moderators. They have capacity of IT beyond anything I can explain! Sorry!
