SPAM...no not the canned meat...
What is going on?
 I mean it seems like everytime I go online there are new members spamming the site.... Is there no way to end the madness?!?!?!?!?!  (Sorry needed the added dramatic effect)

Yeah I agree Ducy, its insane the amount of spam there is. Maybe they need to add a captcha to the registration or something.

This came up several months ago as a result of lots of junk posts appearing. The Moderators were working on trying to fix the matter, and did for a period of time. Apparently, spammers, being the inventive type, do in time figure out new routes around the(ir) problem. It's a never ending battle.

This reminds me of the good ol' days when CB radio was popular. If there was a guy who was misbehaving on the airways and you knew where he lived, a person would go to his house, find the coax antenna wire and put a staple in it shorting it out. He was effectively off the air unless he figured out the problem and then could actually locate the staple.

Hey Everyone,
We're already using a system like Captcha, but we switched over to a different version and are forcing email confirmation on sign-up to see if it helps... We've heard that spammers are now using porn surfers to fill in a "captcha" in order to get access to a video... the surfer gets his porn, and the spammer gets to walk by the protection... We'll keep you posted on any news on this front, and in the meantime, please use the white triangle with red outline to report spam posts. Thanks, Mod
