Hey Everyone,

We verified that there was indeed a problem, and as far as we can tell, it has been corrected. If you notice any problems moving forward, or need assistance in removing any infection your system may have encountered, please do not hesitate in getting in touch with us.

The problem appears to have been caused by a hacker that managed to get a small virus, that we are still looking into, to show up in the footer of the message board. Fortunately, the maker of this forum software had patches available to correct the issue, and we will be making the strongest effort possible to stay fully up to date in the future.

Anyone who has been to the site in the last 24hrs is advised to run a virus scan on their machines, a free one that we recommend can be downloaded here: http://free.grisoft.com/

I'm concerned with some of the "advice" handed out here with respect to the trouble we had... I run very STRICT protocol with respect to anti virus and to think that using some other sort of browser fixes that...well I guess we'll see your PC in a shop real soon! I tried to warn a couple of members via PM, not sure if it went thru...my anti virus was going CRAZY while attempting to do so...what was going on was nothing to do with browsers et al...it was quasai malicious! Anyone with half a brain should be doing a complete virus check on their computers at least once a week, it's called due diligence.I run AVG by grisoft, because the IT guys I know advised it to me...it works quite well, you can get a FREE version and it doesn't attach itself to a bunch of files in your computer...ie: less invasive than Norton and Symantec...
