im not a fan of the reputation comments.

I just started posting and after i posted about sex addiction in the proper section for such discussion. i now have this comment: "get a shrink" im here to talk about sex not share my thoughts and opinions so people can secretly diss me.


If someone wants to say something about someone it should be handled by pms or posting their gripes in said message board. People shouldn't mysteriously be able to mock your thoughts with some secret reputation comment system.

and now if this same person reads this im gonna have some mystery comment insulting how i feel about this. yeah i can ignore it, im not that thin skinned, i guess im just asking if this system is necessary or if anyone actually uses it for good purpose

Where do you even see the reputation comments??
Ive seen the green square on people's posts... but wasn't sure what it was for.

teenbodybuilding.com has the same forums with the reputation and I didn't like a comment the guy said so I took a point from him so he came back and said PAYBACK!

the reputation sucks cause they like had a thread where people gives everyone reputation which is so stupid. so childish

Huh.. never noticed it till it was mentioned here. Seems like mostly a way for other posters to insult you anomously. I dabble around on some different web forums and I always thought this was refered to a flaming. I sure don't need it. See ya

well there is a simple solution

just click the arrow on the upper right hand corner and it goes away.

so this person and persons can spend as much time saying nasty things as they please and i just wont ever see.

whatever it is worth if anyone else doesn't like this just do that

im just not here to lower myself to the form of internet flaming and rivalries. im just here to learn and share information.

anyone wants to criticize me can take it to the pm box and if i feel its worth while i will defend myself.

yes i do, someone disagrees with my stance that a conversation about sexual addiction does not belong on these boards. its an interesting stance to take but to each thier own.

i just don't see why reputation comments are needed to send this message "anonymously"

If I leave a comment on any forum, I ALWAYS sign it. I also VERY VERY RARELY would ever leave a negative comment - IMO forums are not about downing other peoples opinions.

But, I do believe an excellent post should be noticed, so I will give positive rep.

I think that the reputation function is a bit silly, if you like what someone says it's nice to recognize that but it's not cool when someone gets PMS and decides to leave a nasty comment and deduct from your rep.

It's juvenile and passive-aggressive, but as someone felt the need to comment before- who made me the judge and jury?

Well just for the record for whomever,
1 I don't, never have, and never will have "my nose up someone's a**" with the exception of my GF's.
2 I never have had a problem "getting it"
3 No I don't think I need "another girl friend"
