Knowing the sex of the Poster

I think having a feature that tells the posters sex without having to click on their profile would be very handy. Your thoughts?

Nah

I think having that feature might make some users including myself in certain situations feel uncomfortable.

What? The sex as in male/female. This is a forum about sex so it makes sense to know from wich point of view the advice/statement/idea..etc is coming from. If your not comfortable with your sex.... How can you be comfortable talking about sex?

Gender issues

I agree with curly. I'm new hear, and I've read a few posts and had to scroll through responses to figure out where the question was coming from.

Well, as a long time member, I don't think it's all that bad of an idea.

Over the net I'm often confused for a guy, but I swear that I'm a girl. lol.

Stating your sex isn't mandatory anyways so if someone chooses not to do that, then so be it. But I don't think it'd be bad to have a little symbol or something showing on the post that states if they're male or female.

I think that a person's sex is a key to understanding a point of view when matters of sexuality are being discussed.

I've seen that on multiple forums, even on my own. It's just a tiny icon, kind of like everyone's avatar. The little male or female symbol depending on your sex, and a little question mark if you've decided not to make it public.

On most forums it's not really neccessary, but when it comes to sex it really DOES matter what the sex of the poster is...

I can usually tell by the replies, but I also think this would make a good addition. Especially to new people.
