My "emotional maturity" comment was made tongue in cheek. But there is some reality in it as well... there are some "dangerous" people on forums, off all ages.
As for the teen question... in addition to Brandye's observation I would note that in the current political climate I am not about to give detailed instructions on how (for example) to give a guy a blow job to some 13 year old girl - particularly if she starts sending me PMs. A 12 year old attempting to make a decision about whether or not he's gay (before he has chest hair) requires a different response that a 30 year old with similar questions. As for considering someone an "arrogant teenager" it won't be because of his or her age, it will be the attitude. The fact remains that teens don't have as much life experience... but they sometimes can offer a refreshingly different perspective. We've had some fairly mature, intelligent teens here - most have not found it necessary to "hide" their age and I respect them for that. I realize that most teens want to be adults and want to be treated like adults, but the reality is they are not adults. Answering questions and giving advice requires reality for it to work.
