Is the board slow or is it just me??

I am a new member so, I may not be the ideal person to post this but here goes anyway. It seems that the responses to many topics are very very slow in coming. Is that a product of very few users and/or members or is that simply the way it goes here? Not complaining merely asking.

Well you can't expect an answer in like 30 min to an hour. Some folks only get on at night or on the weekends..... so just have to be patient
Thats usually how it goes here... hence people tend to post their topic like 3 times in 3 different forums in hopes that someone will reply, lol.
If I am home, on the weekends, like now... I'll sometimes check in a few times a day... just depends on what I am doing or what I have going on.

some people have msn and yahoo messenger listed you could get a discussion going between few people at the same time...i would suggest posting a thread and see if anyone is interested......might speed things up a little

otherwise i agree with demonbuttercup - people are not online 24/7, they have other things going on in their lives.

Very good point from both of you. This is a terrific site and very informative and quite candid to say the least. Thank you both for your replies.

Yeah I think it's just not as high traffic a board compared to many others. Some people only post from work. It's usually good to wait a couple of days before assuming that your topic is just unpopular or something.

I think its nice that the board is crowded. Then atleast when we do get replies they are either full of information or full of excitement. This way we have meaningful posts and not a million people asking the same question just to see what people will reply. I myself am on here a lot of the time because I am on spring break and I have the time. But once school starts up I will rarely be on. Just enjoy the peace and calmness while it lasts.

I think there are 7000 users. most other boards have 30'000 so there is a big difference. I have noticed also that many threads stay on top for over a week whereas in other boards they just sink in a few hours and I suppose thats best. its a pity though there are not more members as I think that like 5 % are realy active and many just register to ask one question
