Well that kinda sucks. Sometimes I like to go back and add things, or correct spelling/grammar mistakes and even sometimes take things out that shouldn't have been there in the first place.
People will always abuse things. It happens on every board. I had to disable things on my board because some people would change their displayed name every week and that just became annoying and then they'd abuse things like scrolling and neon text. But editing is kind of vaulable and need thing. I don't think that's something that should be disabled because of a few dingbats.

Hey,
From looking at the setup on other boards, it is possible to have posts be edited for some time period... after that, they get locked... Since I would like to have it on, I'll set it back for the time being, though expect the edit time to be 15 minutes or less... (as soon as I can find that setting) Cheers, Mod |

Well that works, at least for now. I usually find mistakes within those minutes or realize something I forgot or something that really shouldn't be there to begin with within those minutes.
So, thanks. ![]() I know in the past I've edited posts of mine that were months old but it was because someone brought it back from the dead and well, it just stirred up more stuff that didn't need to be brought back up, so I just edited my post (I was the thread starter) just so people wouldn't reply anymore and keep beating a dead horse.

Dear Mod,
Maybe it's just me, but I feel I should be able to edit my posts in any way, at any time (provided I stay within accepted posting guidelines). 99% of any edits I make are going to be for grammar correction or content clarification. I would, however, like to have the option of completely re-vamping a post if I should feel I made a terrible mistake in posting it in the first place (whether that decision comes 5 min or 5 years from time of posting). Is this too much to ask? I completely understand your point of view on this, but I feel everyone is being "punished" for a few people "abusing" the system. As to the posts that I've seen disappear, I may not agree with their removal, but I respect the right of the poster to be able to choose to do so. I would also like to request either a better FAQ that covers more information about the features of the new board, or a posting for every time a feature is implemented. Rep power, for instance, is something I noticed for the first time this morning. Please excuse my ignorance, but what is it, how does it work, etc. Thanks.
