Question PMs

First off let me state that I loathe vbulletin but I guess I'll deal.

But anyways, am I missing something somewhere or is there no longer a PM function?

I didn't test it to see if it works... but if you click on a user name, there is a drop down menu that opens... there is an option to send a private message in there...

I found the whole buddy list "feature" and somewhat figured that out but it says I don't have permission to send a PM.

Hey,

You are both right... it wasn't working... but should be now...

There was a setting in the options that limited PM posts to 0... even though PM itself was on...

It should be corrected now.

If you have any other problems, just let me know!

Plenty of work to do!

I'd have to say... this was not a particularly smooth transition... it took me two days to be able log in and I still haven't been able to reset my password.

What is most troubling, though is the one report (which must mean that there are more) of people being stuck in the wrong ID. That's kinda scary and could make one wonder who is getting their pms, etc.

craftyone is on a distinguished road
Ok... I'm going to have to completely disagree with you... I think they did a great job.

I was on the old version of the site when the board closed... when i came back a few hours later, the new one was up, but i didn't feel like looking up my password to resave it... so i didn't bother trying to login... just browsed.

Granted the PM and Avatars need a tweak from the sounds of things, a couple hours of time with a couple small issues is GREAT in my books...

Not sure what people are experiencing with the password reset though... I had no problems... I didn't remember what email i used, so I contacted the mod, he sent me the email address i used, and i was back on in 2 minutes.

I did however get a second account email, it was one i made a long time ago, but never used... maybe that was the problem that other person was refering to... if they forgot that they made that other account, it fits the bill...
