oberon will become famous soon enough
I'm with you both! I just did a "cut and paste" spam and clicked on each one.

It's getting to the ridiculous point. Is there ANYTHING we can do besides report them? I hate to suggest it, but maybe we could stop new members from posting URLs... you know, for like the first week or so after they join? Apparently, that's the only reason this person(?) comes to this board... so if they couldn't post their links maybe they'd go away.

thetease13 has a spectacular aura about
I've thrown the suggestion out there before so I'll throw it out there again.

What about someone on the board who just deletes spam. Like, that's the only thing they're allowed to do. Get rid of those posts.

I don't know exactly how ikonboard works but I know on other boards that you can set certain members to just lock threads and delete them. They can't get into the member database to delete the members themselves nor can fiddle with any other part of the board. They're just a mod to delete spam and what not.

I agree this much spam is a big distraction. It could also send the wrong message to new members that this is a board that allows and encourages this kind of stuff. Or could keep members away from posting.

If the mods can't find the time to delete it I say let Tease or someone do it.

Nope. I don't want any one other than a mod with the power to delete posts.

It's too easy to ignore the spam, it's always readily identifiable either by the subject of by the "all caps."

It most often appears first thing in the morning and, I'm reasonable certain most of it is being done by bots.

Chill pills for everyone.

Either that or complain to the mods - not about the spam, but about their lack of interest and attention to it.

It is annoying!!
Especially when you start having repeat questions and you want to say... Just check about the first 5-6 posts under "New to sex"... Now go to that section. Of the first 15-20 posts... probably half are spam.
I don't see anything wrong w/ someone just able to delete spam...whether its the mod or whomever. Or the mods need to come here more often or something. And if they don't want to or have the time... then they need to appoint someone to watch over things.

Wait wait, is this an automated attack?

Mods, could you look into how other boards prevent such spam? If you can't find a way at the system level to prevent it, could you not bar brand new users from posting a link?

I appreciate that it's quiet, and you're loathe to upset new, legit members, but if this continues, your INACTION will lead to established ones leaving.

Address it please, before that happens.

Jaybee.
