Avitars?

I've been looking to find a link where one can upload an avatar to display by ones post. *Could you point me in that direction if there is one, or tell me what to do to get one set up.
There may be others who would like to know the procedure too.

You need to go to a place like photobucket or netscape (if you have an aim account, you can upload things through netscape) and I'm sure there's some other free hosts out there that allow offsite linking.
I personally use my domain or one of my accounts on one of my friends servers to upload images too so I don't have to worry about off site linking stuff.

Ok, I found it. *If you click on the link "Your Control Panel"....
it takes you to your control panel. *At the top beside the word
"Sumary" is the word "Personal Info". *Click personal info. *It takes you to a listing with "Avatar Options" being the third one down. *Click it. * Now you have two options. *One, is to check a "preselected avatar" in the grey box toward the top, or two, is to upload your own original as I did.

I wanted a text logo for my Avatar so I used the free online
logo generator called Cool Text.

I thought about this one inspired by the chrome on a red sports car:



But settled for the more subtle:



Thats how I got mine.

If anyone wants to get a free website which is simple and template driven, the folks at 7H *are fine. 7h.com

I just used my scanner software to tweek my logo's(why open PhotoShop) and then post them to the website. *Then all you need do is right click on the logo to get the list with "properties" at the bottom. *Click properties and a grey box will pop up with the URL listing that image. Copy the link
and paste it in the URL box in the Avatar page of this ikonboard messageboard. *

Then you got yur own custom Avatar. *I've been working on an animated one for my erotica writing boards where the pen nib moves to spell eDJ. *It will be to die for when I get it done.
Just have to make sure my stories are as good as the graphics. *

LOL, I think someone else was asking for "Spell Check" here too. *I'll go attend to that. Perhaps a Admin will be kind enough to correct it in the title?

I don't see them showing up yet so I'm wondering if I missed something or if you get to wait a bit for them to be set up.

I used to sit and wonder how people got the neat "eye candy"
I used to see them use in some other websites awhile back. Like this Scorpio Image. So I'm learn how nowdays.
